Mr. Ryan Pinto is CEO of the Ryan International Group of Institutions. One of India's youngest social entrepreneurs in the K-12 education sector, he has grown the Ryan International Group of Institutions (RIGI) in India and overseas, to over 130 institutions, educating more than 270,000 students. Mr. Pinto hopes to transform "traditional" schools into dynamic, interactive learning environments that benefit not only students, teachers and direct stakeholders, but also their communities, cities and country.
Mr. Pinto conceptualized and launched the immensely successful Ryan's Food Bucket Challenge to highlight the cause of hunger. The project, which aimed to mobilize and distribute food to various NGO's eventually, became a movement with people from far corners of the country supporting it. The project mobilized over 1 million kilograms of food grain and distributed it to over 250 NGOâ€™s across the country. In addition, specially prepared nutritious meals were served to over 10,000 children from various orphanages.
He strongly advocates the use of technological tools to educate each and every child of India.
Mr. Pinto was instrumental in the inception of the Ryan Group's international curriculum schools, the Ryan Global Schools, and in establishing the group's highly successful overseas schools in the United Arab Emirates. Two of the schools in UAE were recognized in their very first year as Best Schools of UAE by Brainfeed Magazine.
Amongst numerous other awards, Mr. Pinto was recognized most recently as one of Asia's Emerging Business Leaders by WCRC & Ernst & Young in London, UK. He also received the Editors Choice Award from Digital Learning at the World Education Summit, Dubai.
He studied at Warwick University and Aston University, and received a master's degree in business and entrepreneurship from Cass Business School, London.
