On 12th October 2019 witnessed the multiplying IB Community at Ryan Global School as it hosted SAIBSA PYP Job Alike Session 2019. SAIBSA is the acronym for the South Asia International Baccalaureate Schools Association. It was a memorable day with 300 IB PYP Educators from 33 schools covering Mumbai, Pune, Nasik, Gujarat, Bangalore, Dubai, Aurangabad, Boisar, etc, under one roof who got this amazing opportunity to share their best practices. It was an opportunity to interact with each other and to share each other’s experiences through these sessions. There was something to learn from each other through the sessions conducted as well as through the interactions through the day.
The day was divided into 3 breakout sessions for Homeroom teachers and Specialists. The 1st being “From Principles to Practice: Pillar 1 - The Learner - The Learner Agency & Action”. There was a parallel Coordinator Session led by Ms. Monita Sen - PYP Manager – Authorization. The 2nd session was on From Principles To Practice: Pillar 2 Learning & Teaching: - Constructing The POI & The Unit Of Inquiry. The 3rd session was on Integrated Assessment. These sessions were conducted by PYP teachers of the various participating schools. The sessions were conducted using various strategies of teaching and learning.
After a lunch break, there were 2 plenary sessions where Ms Monita Sen highlighted the aspects of developing Assessment capacities and the four dimensions of Assessment and on Collaborative design to enhance Transdisciplinary learning and Teaching.
The day ended with a photo session with our Director of Ryan International Group of Institutions, Dr. Snehal Pinto. Overall it was a very good experience as a host school. A lot was learnt and a lot was shared. We thank and Praise God for this opportunity to be a part of this huge event “SAIBSA”.

CertificationThe marksheet and certificate of Diploma In Early Childhood Teacher Education Course will be made available after successful completion of the course.
Candidates who complete the course successfully will be awarded a " Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education ". This ECTE certification provides the trainees with an entry point into schools of State/ ICSE/ CBSE/ IGCSE/ IB board in India and abroad.

This paper will provide an overview of the field of Early Childhood Education with an emphasis on quality care & learning. Trainees will examine historical perspectives, theories of curriculum & the different approaches to preschool education.
Paper II- Child DevelopmentThe paper will provide an understanding of development principles from conception to six years of age. Trainees will learn to identify and promote children's development major milestones within the area of physical, motor, social, personal , emotional, cognitive, language & moral development.
Paper III- Methods & Materials for Working with Young ChildrenThis paper will explore the various techniques of working with children. It will enable trainees to design and implement programs and curriculum to meet the development needs of children.
This paper explores holistic health and wellness principles to support children's development. Emphasis is placed onstrategies to promote children's understanding of good health and nutritional habits.
Paper V - Issues & Concerns Related to Early Childhood EducationThe paper aims at creating awareness about the various issues faced by both normal children and children with special needs. It will enable the trainees to understand the process of bringing about positive change in the lives of children.
The ECTE trainees will get an opportunity to complete one year of intensive practical training/internship at Ryan Group. This will provide them with valuable hands on experience of working with preschoolers in a live classroom. This will also enhance their knowledge of pre-school management and set-up. It improves the teaching skills of our early childhood teacher training trainees and prepares them for interviews and demos.
We also conduct several workshops for our ECCE trainees on topics like curriculum planning, music and movement, art and craft, story telling, yoga, projects etc to acquaint and equip them to face the challenges in the field of pre-school teaching.
