Ryan Global School, Kharghar, celebrated Independence Day with great fervour on 15 th August, 2019. The ceremony started in the quadrangle area followed by the programme in the auditorium. The guests Mr. Ankit Agarwal (DGM RCP).Mr. Ganesh Joshi (senior Manager Vodafone) Mr. Ranjith Rammanunni Deutsche Bank) and Mr. R. M Sundaram ( chief manager, Siemens) was warmly welcomed by Mue council members." The To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, our guests unfurled the tricolour flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem. All the guests were warmly felicitated with potted plants. This wás followed by a theme dance by the tiny tots of the pre-primary and primary sections The dance by the students of ltee.
The students also expressed their views on the significance of the day. The programme concluded with the Prize distribution and the Vote of Thanks. At the end, sweets were distributed to tie students.
Ryan Global School, Kharghar, celebrated Children’s Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on 14 th Nov. 2019. Students were warmly welcomed by teachers and office staff. As this special day is dedicated to the children, a special assembly was conducted for the students of all sections by the teachers. The assembly began with the Lord’s Prayer, followed by the holy words from the Bible, and Special Prayer. An immensely motivating and inspiring message from our Visionary Chairman Sir was read aloud by one of the teachers. Together students sang the School Anthem followed by the National Anthem. Teachers organised various activities and games for the children like guessing games, quizzes etc. They also sang some songs for the kids. Students enjoyed the children’s day a lot.
Christmas, a season to be jolly, to spend some time with your family and friends, make new memories and recall old memories as the year comes to an end. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, the Ryan Global School, Kharghar reverberated with the melody of Christmas carols on December 23, 2019. The celebration began with a special assembly with Lord ’s Prayer followed by the holy words from the Bible, and special prayer. Students also danced to the tunes of Christmas songs sung by the students in the assembly. This was followed by a Nativity play- movie, recreating the scene of Jesus' Birth and the story about how Mary and Joseph were visited by the Shepherds and Wise Men. After that, The Principal, Mrs. Archana Singh addressed the assembly and wished all the children and teachers Merry Christmas on behalf of our Respect Chairman Sir and Managing Director Madam. The assembly was concluded with a Rock band performed by the senior students of the school which was followed by the Ryan oath, Ryan Anthem and the National Anthem.
To protect our Mother Earth and to keep our environment clean, Students of Ryan Global School, Kharghar celebrated Environment Week with great zeal and enthusiasm. Various activities such as Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Tree Plantation, Story Telling , Quiz, Poetry Recitation etc were conducted to encourage students to become supporters of sustainable and equitable living and drawing their attention towards various Environmental issues
The enthusiastic, young aspirants of RGS, Kharghar were enthralled with a visit to the Eco-Farm at Wada. The students were all excited and eager to go for this fun-cum educational trip.
This farming based trip provided an engaging environment, where students participated in hands-on farm and food activities, outdoor exploration, Scare-crow making, future farming, grafting process etc. The representatives welcomed the students and gave them a briefing about the various activities lined-up. Therefore the group was divided into two teams: primary and secondary students teams. Students learnt about how seeds are down, saplings planted, soilless farming, sustainable farming, how grafting is done and the process involved how vegetables are cleaned and sent to market.Unlike other picnics, this one involved workshops on planting and home-farms. These workshops not only explained to the students the importance of home-farming but also made them do some ‘nature’ work. One workshop taught the students to make beautiful terrariums. The students enthusiastically explored the alluring beauty and bounties of nature.

Students of RGS, Kharghar were enthralled to visit ISRO space exhibition held at S.I.E.S. college, Matunga. The exhibition was a platform to create awareness about the space and Astronomy among school students
Students learnt about ISRO’s history and glorious space mission through rocket models, static panels, launch vehicles, static satellites etc. Covering information themes like ISRO timeline, history, Earth observation satellite, communication satellite, interplanetary mission, human space programs. etc.
students also participated in various competitions like fancy dress competition, quiz, spell bee and Elocution on the topic “ If I was an Astronaut''. Mst Nivaan Bhatt from grade 2 caie secure certificate in Elocution competition.
Ryan Global School organised a visit to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to attend a workshop on Financial Education.The main objective behind the visit was to make students aware about the various activities relating to marketing & finance.
The presentation was hosted by Mr. Avadhut Chavan where students were engaged in discussion and were given the opportunity to clarify their doubts regarding Investment, Finance, Savings and Financial Fraud etc. Mr. Avadhut Chavan covered many aspects relating to financial planning while dwelling on the role of SEBI in monitoring all the market participants. The workshop was followed by a question/ answer session. The session concluded with the closing remarks on the importance of financial literacy and its awareness for students.
Students learned that the Securities and Exchange Board Of India (SEBI) is the regulator for the securities market in India, established by the Government of India on 12 April 1992. They got to know about various functions of SEBI:
• To protect the interests of investors in securities
• To promote the development of, and to regulate, the securities market.
• To Stop fraudulent activities in stock market
• In Mutual Funds-SEBI provides guidelines to the mutual funds from time to time to protect the interests of investors. All mutual funds whether promoted by the public sector or private sector are governed by SEBI.
• To regulate the business in stock exchanges and any other securities markets.
• To Register and regulate the working of stock brokers, sub-brokers, share transfer agents, bankers to an issue, trustees of trust deeds, registrars to an issue, merchant bankers, portfolio managers, investment advisers. Etc
Ryan Global School Kharghar Organised the Annual sports Meet in December and it was celebrated with much zeal and excitement at the school grounds upholding this aspect of sporting events.
Dr Naveen Acharya hoisted the flag signalling the start of the sports meet. There was a spectacular, impressive and well synchronised March Past by the two houses - Red and Blue, which was followed by the oath taking Ceremony.. The chief guest declared the meeting open. An acrobatic drill by the CIE students preceded the track and field events. Parents were enthralled by the splendid field displays and pyramid forumotion.
Keeping with the twelve-point vision of our Chairman Sir Dr. A.F Pinto each and every child was encouraged to take part in the sport events. Various events like 100mt, 200 mt, Spot jump and relay races were conducted. The students of the primary section participated in events like 50 mt. cone race and hurdle race.
The most interesting aspect of the sports meet was Parent-child Events in which the parents took part in various sports events along with their children. It was indeed a day filled with excitement, dedication and hard work that always inspires the students to perform better and wait for the next Annual sports day. The event was concluded by the vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
The programme commenced by invoking blessing from lord almighty through prayers and prayer dances. This was followed by a warm and heartfelt welcome speech and welcome dance. The tiny tots of the school presented their fountain of talents by dancing on theme- ‘Euphoria’, which emphasised the importance of inner peace and contentment, that spreads sunshine into other people’s life and ours.
Students of grade 4 and 5 th danced on ‘New Hope , New Horizon’ , highlighting the issues of child labour and right to education. Senior students presented a Mime on – ‘Don’t laminate the Earth’, stressing the need for palpable social change by pledging to ban plastic. It’s true, it’s the responsibility of each and every individual to maintain our neighbourhood and our Country clean. Grade 6 and 7 exemplified the inner soldier in all of us. Giving tribute to soldiers protecting our borders and calling for our duties as a citizen to protect the nation from within.
The Senior students' dance was based on Gandhiji words: “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” Emphasizing the three important aspects of life that needs change: Liberty from CHILD Labour, Women Empowerment and planting trees for future generation.
The prizes for all round proficiency were given to motivate the students during the prize distribution ceremony. Certificates of graduation were awarded to the students of 10th and 12th grade.
The students mesmerised the audience with their energy and attitude. The programme rose to a final crescendo with the grand finale wherein all the participants, teachers danced and sang the famous song ‘Heal the World’. This ended in a beautiful resonance lingering in the minds of everyone.
To give Imagination wings to fly and make creativity a fulfilling experience for the students. The student of Ryan Global School Kharghar and art and craft activity was conducted by Mr Pradeep Tiwari , marketing manager, Pidilite. Art and craft workshop gave the students a platform to show their individualistic creativity. Different activities were planned for different classes, while we young students created Slime from Fevicol, paints and detergent. On the other hand students from grade 3-4 created beautiful wall paintings using stencil art. students from grade 5-7, created beautiful wall hanging posters using 3D paint using old cd’s. The students of 10-8 created name plates using a play of colours on the canvas paper bought by them. Their creativity was enhanced under guidance and instructions of Mr Pradeep and his colleagues. The students created beautiful painting name plates posters; bright Slime to play with; beautiful coasters and key holders; attractive wall hangings. Students were excited and thrilled to participate in the painting.
The Students of Ryan Global School, Kharghar are nurtured not only to excel in academics but they are also groomed to be young change makers and social contributors right from their young age.
Students exhibited their commitment to serve the environment by participating in various beach clean-up programs, No Plastic Awareness Initiative and saying “NO” to fireworks. The concept of sustainability and care for the environment has been instilled amongst them.

The students of Ryan Global School, Kharghar celebrated two very significant and reverent occasions on the 28th of August, 2020. Firstly, Founder's Day - a day that commemorates our founders for laying such a solid foundation and providing endless resources, and secondly, one of the most important days for each Ryanite, the Birthday of the Chairman of Ryan institutions, Dr. A.F. Pinto. The auspicious day commenced with reciting the Lord's Prayer and a Bible verse along with a special prayer for the Lord Almighty to bless their admired and esteemed mentor with good health and the graces of our Lord.
The primary students then went on to exhibit their adoration and love to our Founders and respected Chairman Sir with their artistic and creative minds during their card making activity, filling the cards with colours of love as they wished their esteemed influencer. While the primary students expressed their wishes through their creativity, the secondary students dove into the depths of their hearts to find the words to express their sincere gratitude and admiration as they took part in their message writing activity.
After all, words are a gift given to us to best express ourselves and our feelings. The secondary students also expressed their thoughts and feelings about the importance of Sir's visions and their applications in the students life as they took it upon themselves to elaborate on two visions each. The special day was enjoyed and celebrated by all the Ryanites as they took part in the activities and sent their heartfelt birthday wishes to our Chairman Sir.
Joy of giving was conducted when students donated stationeries, snacks, clothes,watches etc by visiting the orphanage.Friendly football match was organised.
The world is a melting pot of cultural diversity today. This makes foreign languages a key to growth and understanding this globally diverse domain.
Bastille Day is an auspicious day for France because it marks the birth of the French Republic on this day and the people celebrate the unity of the French people.
On 15th of July, the students of Ryan Global School celebrated the French Independence day - Bastille day. On this day, higher grades students along with the guidelines of the French professor prepared a special assembly in French. After the informative linguistic assembly, there was a quiz arranged wherein students were involved, reflected and at the same time learned more about the marvellous country of France.
An exhibition on the French Monuments in the form of Charts, artefacts, booklets, was exhibited by the students of Grade 3. Grade 4 students had set up several stations in class consisting of games in French, songs/poems in French and learning of basic vocabulary in French. The students of Grade 5 exhibited the various kinds of French Cuisine, along with the school canteen menu in French as well as the nutritional values of French meals in comparison to meals of another country. The day was filled with the essence of the French Day Celebration. It was indeed a wonderful day where the students thoroughly enjoyed showcasing their hard work.
Students celebrated the French day with utmost joy and pleasure.
Ryan Global School celebrated International Yoga Day. All the students participated enthusiastically in the program. The Program started by welcoming our guest and mentor for the day Mrs. Archana Singh who enlightened us about the different asanas and the importance of yoga. “Yoga develops strength and balance as well as inner peace. Yoga Postures create a feeling of lightness, ease and relaxation” she added. It was all together a rejuvenating experience for the participants.

June 21st is celebrated as The International Day of Yoga all over the world. This idea was proposed by our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. He said, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well-being.”
International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and teachers at Ryan Global School with great enthusiasm. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed sitting and standing asanas, the importance of these were explained simultaneously.
Regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well.
In this fast paced world, education is important but the ability to apply your knowledge and work with it is of greater importance. The Student Council is an integral part of learning that ensures that students can creatively put together things that they have learnt, can confidently portray their point, brainstorm on ideas and inculcate the ability to convince others.
Thus, the Student Council which also teaches students that "authority comes with responsibility", gives the students a fair idea about execution and not just the planning aspects of the various activities.
The Student Council at RGS is chosen through a rigorous process. In order to select the most suitable candidates, students had to give a speech on how they are eligible to be a part of the students council. Further there is a voting session which goes on for two days. Thereafter students apply for the post along with relevant documents and three reference letters from the teachers referring them for the post they can do justice, followed by a personal interview. The personal interview was conducted to grade the students on their communication skills and clarity in expressing their views.

The Investiture Ceremony of Ryan Global School, Kharghar was celebrated on 9th October for its Academic Year 2019-2020 with great pride and zeal.The ceremony began with the prayers and the prayer songs asking for the lord's blessings. The students gave a welcome speech in English, Hindi and French followed by the welcome song.
Then the students were presented badges for their respective positions by the guests and the school principal. The elected students’ council took the pledge to help the school follow the 12 vision points successfully. Alyssa Raj of Grade A Level was elected as the President and she proudly took an oath of the president promising to abide by the rules and responsibilities, which come over her and fulfill her duties with absolute faith and loyalty. It was the occasion where the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them. In order to inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to hone their leadership skills and to develop their personality, ‘Student Council’ is formed every year.
Students of RGS, Kharghar were enthralled to visit Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, one of our country's largest multicultural festivals.
Kala Ghoda Festival draws participants from other parts of the country. The festival sections are visual arts, dance, music, theatre, cinema, literature, workshops, heritage walk. urban design, architecture, food, a dedicated section for children and a vibrant street section including stalls selling eco friendly, hand made arts and crafts wares. It was a wonderful learning experience to get an insight into the artist's mind and understand the various exhibits on Going Green. The exhibits also helped students realise and get hands-on experience of the effects of all the harm that humans have caused to mother earth which they have been studying in their curriculum. The students were spell-bound to visit the exhibit of RGS, Andheri.which won accolades and the 1st prize in the competition. They were amazed to meet Ms. Sonal Pinto at the Museum Gardens. They shared their experiences with her and thanked her for visiting. Students of std. 4th and 5th also attended the workshop on Art and Craft conducted at the Museum Gardens which was a great learning experience for them
The visit reinforced into the students mind that there is still Hope and we are the ones who can still Do Something to Save Mother Earth.
Museum on Wheels is a pioneering outreach initiative for the city of Mumbai- a bus with travelling exhibitions on different themes.The theme this time was “fossils”. RGS students got this great opportunity to see the rare Fossils when this Museum visited Ryan Kharghar.
The Museum bus was fully equipped with display cases of varied fossils. It included an interactive demonstration of a small volcano, and a touch screen to display information. The aim was to provide information on how fossils are made, preserved by nature, then how they are excavated and stored, giving information about our past. Students were amazed to see actual fossils and how well they were preserved.
This was a learning experience as the Museum was informative that aimed to provide additional practical experience with educational content.
The Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan is a nationwide campaign led by the Government of India. Since the launch of this campaign the Ryan Group of Institutions has extended its support and strengthened its efforts towards the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan launched by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi The dawn of 1st October saw a cleaner, greener Bharat ! The day began with a special assembly conducted dyo IGCSE students. Thereafter, the students enthusiastically moved outside the school compound along with their mentors. They were all geared up with broomsticks, dust pans, bags, masks, gloves and caps! They were excited to clean up the area around their school which is their second home. Through this activity, the students practically learnt the moral value of cleanliness is next to Godliness In the words of Martin Luther "God writes the Gospel not in the Bible alone, but also in trees. and in the flowers and clouds and stars “ We truly feel privileged that we are able to do our bit towards preserving the place we live in.
RGS students visited School of Hospitality and Tourism Studies, DY Patil University on 15th October to attend a workshop on 'Hotel Management as a career option'. It was attended by 42 Students from Ryan Global School.
Mrs. Supriya & Mr Bhavesh Lead Chef and a faculty of Hospitality Management,DY Patil University introduced the students to various aspects of Hospitality Management. They informed that a cardinal part of the hospitality industry, hotel management has wide employment opportunities.
The students were made aware of the courses provided in the university:
• B.SC In Hotel Management Catering And Travel Operations
• Certificate Courses In Bakery & Patisseries
• Certificate Courses In Multi Cuisine (Continental/ Italian/ Mexican/ Thai)
These courses train candidates in the basic culinary skills which will enable them to work in hotels, stand alone restaurants, guest houses, etc.
The admission process was also explained to the students, like the minimum selection criteria for an undergraduate course in hotel management is 10+2 with 50% marks and students have to appear for an entrance exam before selecting the candidates for various courses. Additionally, job placement and recruitment prospects were also discussed.
The National Burns Centre is a 50 bedded specialised centre for Research, Training, Prevention, and Treatment & Rehabilitation relating to Burns. It was set up in 2002.
The students of Ryan Global School, Kharghar (classes 1 to 10) visited the Research Centre and the state-of-art skin bank at NBC. The students were introduced to the centre by the director, Dr. Karnik. After which the staff made the students aware about the importance of skin donation. They informed the students that the butterfly garden in the premises was built as a recreation place for the rehabilitation of the patients admitted in the hospital.
All the students got a chance to visit the beautifully maintained butterfly garden. The trained guides helped to spot the sometimes elusive species, and also helped students and teachers to locate the eggs, and pupa of the butterflies without disturbing their life cycles.
The newly developed garden is spread over a one-acre area and is being looked after by the hospital’s gardeners. Besides nectarine plants, the hospital has also put up an informative board that offers facts on the life cycle of the plants, their species and the butterflies.
Students of classes 5 to 10 also got the opportunity to visit their skin bank and research centre. The researchers there showed the students specimens of skin samples and explained the procedure for processing and preservation of the samples which will be used to treat the burn patients. The students of classes 9 and10 were enthused to visit the centre and engaged in a question answer session with the researchers, which was very informative.
All in all the students were enthralled by the sight of the butterflies and enriched by the information obtained at the research centre and the skin bank.
“Because of the tender mercy of our Lord, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high, to give light to those who sit in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
Ryan International Group of Institutions hosted an exciting event in Mumbai, The World Scholar’s Cup. The event aimed to catch students interested in learning beyond the typical school curriculum and to focus on bringing students from different cultures and backgrounds together to discuss issues and ideas relevant to today's times.
The event went on for three days and students worked hard to compete in these competitions.
Firstly students had a general assembly with Ryan Sir and the guests, then they were separated into two different groups and sent on specific floors.
Further they were given a flow chart for their respective classes. After reaching the classes, students had been provided topics for three rounds of debate.
Followed by the Collaborative writing which was based on the argumentative structure in which participants pick one side of a topic and write for or against it.
The Scholar’s Challenge had 120 multiple choice questions for each.
The Scholar’s Bowl was held at the banquet of Hotel Sahara Star. It was a multiple-choice question, displayed on the screen. Each team got a clicker to answer. At last, there was an alpaca ceremony followed by an award session.
This event could only happen because of the opportunity given to us by our Chairman Sir Dr. A.F. Pinto, Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto. Our students were obliged to be a part of such a big event which gave them an international vibe and a broader perspective in life.
